The Central Coffee Research Institute, established during 1925, is located in the heartland of coffee tracts, near Balehonnnur in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. The Institute is involved in intensive research in the disciplines of Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science, Plant Physiology, Pathology, Entomology and Post-harvest Technology. / 1925 के दौरान स्थापित केंद्रीय कॉफी अनुसंधान संस्थान, कर्नाटक के चिकमंगलूर जिले में बालेहोन्नूर के पास, कॉफी क्षेत्रों के केंद्र में स्थित है। संस्थान प्लांट ब्रीडिंग, एग्रोनॉमी, एग्रीकल्चरल केमिस्ट्री एंड सॉयल साइंस, प्लांट फिजियोलॉजी, पैथोलॉजी, एंटोमोलॉजी और पोस्ट-हार्वेस्ट टेक्नोलॉजी के विषयों में गहन शोध में शामिल है।
