Sultanpur National Park is located at Sultanpur, Haryana in Gurgaon District, Haryana. As a bird sanctuary it was the finding of Peter Jackson, famous ornothologist, and Honorary Secretary of the Delhi Birdwatching Society, who wrote to Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, founder of the Society, in 1970 about the need to declare the Sultanpur jheel near Delhi, a bird sanctuary, and she asked him to take her there.
Sultanpur National Park and Bird Sanctuary is in Gurgaon district of Haryana. This century can be reached by traveling a distance of 15 km from Gurgaon and 45 km from Delhi. The green trees and bushes of bougainvillea with pink, yellow, orange colors work to enhance the beauty of this national park. About 250 species of birds are already present here. Apart from the local birds, birds coming from Siberia, Europe and Afghanistan can also be easily seen in the century. It would be better to bring a binocular (binoculars) with you to see them.
Sultanpur National Park is the perfect place to see beautiful birds. Here you can easily see birds flying, swimming and walking on the trees. About 90 species of migratory birds are seen here in winter every year. Including Siberian Stork to Greater Flamingo, Rough, Black-winged Stilt, Common Teal, Eurasian Wigan, Black-tailed Gotwit, Spotted Redshank, Storling, Blue Throated Puppet. By the way, some of these migratory birds like Asian Cole, Black Cround Night Heron, Eurasian Golden Oriole, Comb Duck, Blue Cheek Bee Eater and Cuckoo can also be seen in the summer season. Apart from these, Nilgai and Black bug are also present in this century. It takes about 1.50 hours to visit Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary on foot.
This park is also a picnic spot
Four machans (watch towers) have been built at different places to watch the birds and capture them on camera. The century also has facilities for parking, restrooms and drinking water. Apart from this, an Educational Interpretation Center is also available to give every kind of information related to this place to the tourists. You must also have an identity card to visit this park with an entry fee of Rs.5.

सुल्तानपुर नेशनल पार्क खूबसूरत पक्षियों को देखने के लिए एकदम परफेक्ट जगह हैं। यहां आप पक्षियों को उड़ते, तैरते और पेड़ों पर चहलकदमी करते हुए आसानी से देख सकते हैं। हर साल सर्दियों में यहां लगभग 90 प्रवासी पक्षियों की प्रजातियां देखने को मिलती हैं। जिनमें साइबेरियन सारस से लेकर ग्रेटर फ्लेमिंगो, रफ, ब्लैक विंग्ड स्टिल्ट, कॉमन टील, यूरेशियन विगन, ब्लैक टेल्ड गॉटविट, स्पॉटेड रेडशैंक, स्टॉर्लिंग, ब्लू थ्रोट पिपट शामिल हैं। वैसे इनमें से कुछ एक प्रवासी पक्षियों जैसे एशियन कोल, ब्लैक क्राउंड नाइट हीरोन, यूरेशियन गोल्डेन ओरिओल, कॉम्ब डक, ब्लू चीक बी ईटर और कोयल को आप गर्मियों के मौसम में भी देख सकते हैं। इनके अलावा इस सेंचुरी में नीलगाय और ब्लैक बग भी मौजूद हैं। सुल्तानपुर बर्ड सेंचुरी को पैदल घूमने में तकरीबन 1.50 घंटे का समय लगता है।
पिकनिक स्पॉट भी है ये पार्क
पक्षियों को देखने और उन्हें कैमरे में कैद करने के लिए अलग-अलग जगहों पर 4 मचान (वाच टावर्स) बनाए गए हैं। सेंचुरी में पार्किंग से लेकर रेस्टरूम्स और पीने के पानी की भी व्यवस्था है। इसके अलावा टूरिस्टों को इस जगह से संबंधित हर एक तरह की जानकारी देने के लिए एक एजुकेशनल इंटरप्रिटेशन सेंटर भी अवेलेबल है। 5 रुपए एंट्री फीस के साथ इस पार्क घूमने के लिए आपके पास आइडेंटिटी कार्ड भी होना जरूरी है।
कब आएं
सुल्तानपुर बर्ड सेंचुरी घूमने के लिए सितंबर से दिसंबर तक का और जनवरी से मार्च तक का महीना एकदम परफेक्ट होता है।

हवाई मार्ग- इंदिरा गांधी इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट यहां का नज़दीकी एयरपोर्ट हैं जहां से सुल्तानपुर बर्ड सेंचुरी की दूरी 48 किमी है। दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट से यहां तक पहुंचने के लिए आपको आसानी से टैक्सी मिल जाएंगी।
