Nasik, also known as the Wine Capital of India, or as India’s Napa Valley, is located in Maharashtra in the Western Ghats, on the western edge of the Deccan peninsula on the banks of the Godavari.

Nashik or Nashik is a city in Nashik district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the district headquarters and the fourth largest city of Maharashtra. Nashik is situated on the banks of the Godavari River. It is located in the north-west of Maharashtra, 150 km from Mumbai and 205 km from Pune. The city is mainly a major center of Hindu pilgrims. The most prominent part of this city is Panchavati. Apart from this, there are also many temples here. Nashik sees a huge crowd during the festive season.
