On July 18, 1947, the British Parliament ratified the Moutbatten Plan as the “Independence of India Act – 1947”. The act was implemented on August 15, 1947. The Act provided for the creation of two independent dominions of India and Pakistan with effect from August 15, 1947. / 18 जुलाई, 1947 को ब्रिटिश संसद ने माउटबेटन योजना को “भारत की स्वतंत्रता अधिनियम – 1947” के रूप में अनुमोदित किया। यह अधिनियम 15 अगस्त, 1947 को लागू किया गया था। इस अधिनियम में 15 अगस्त, 1947 से भारत और पाकिस्तान के दो स्वतंत्र प्रभुत्वों के निर्माण का प्रावधान था।
