Kolar, Hutti, Gadag, Ramagiri, Honalli, Wynad, Lawa, Mysara, Pahardia, Kundrekocha have been some of the gold mines of India. Presently gold is produced from three mines viz Hutti, Uti, Hirabuddni (HGML) in Karnataka and as by product from basemetal sulphide deposits of Khetri (Rajasthan), Mosabani, Singhbhum (Jharkhand).
कोलार, हुट्टी, गडग, रामगिरी, होनाल्ली, वायनाड, लावा, मैसूर, पहाड़िया, कुंद्रेकोचा भारत की कुछ सोने की खदानें हैं। वर्तमान में कर्नाटक में तीन खानों अर्थात हुट्टी, उटी, हीराबुद्दनी (एचजीएमएल) से और खेतड़ी (राजस्थान), मोसाबनी, सिंहभूम (झारखंड) के बेसमेटल सल्फाइड जमा से उत्पाद के रूप में सोने का उत्पादन किया जाता है।
