Nagaland is a state in the far north-eastern part of India. It borders the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Burma to the east and Manipur to the south. Nagaland, the 16th state of the Indian Union, was established on December 1, 1963. It is divided into eleven districts: Kohima, Phek, Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Mon, Dimapur, Kiphire, Longleng and Peren. It is a largely mountainous state

Nagaland is a state in Northeast India. It borders the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Burma to the east, and Manipur to the south. The state capital is Kohima, and the largest city is Dimapur.

A small state with diversity related to tribes and culture and due to various festivals celebrated there; it is also famous as the “Land of Festivals”. Almost 14 languages are spoken in this territory.

Nagaland; it does not share a boundary with Mizoram but it does share its boundary with Assam and Myanmar. It is a mountainous state of India with home to different tribes. Its capital is Kohima and it was formed on 1 December 1963. Earlier it was part of Assam but then it was established as an independent tribal state. Nagaland was founded by Angami Zapu Phizo after Nagas emerged as an ethnic group in the northeast.

On the other hand, if we talk about Mizoram; the state shares a 722 km border with neighboring countries Bangladesh and Myanmar. Mizoram was also part of Assam until 1972. Mizoram is surrounded by Myanmar to the east, Tripura to the northwest, Assam to the North and Manipur to the northeast and Bangladesh to the west.

Note:

The literal meaning Mizoram is “Land of the Mizos”, however when it was part of Assam it was called Lushai Hills District of Assam following which it was still renamed as Mizo Hills District in 1954. It is one of the seven sister states in northeast India. The highest peak of Mizoram is Phawngui also known as Blue Mountain.

वहीं अगर मिजोरम की बात करें तो; राज्य पड़ोसी देशों बांग्लादेश और म्यांमार के साथ 722 किलोमीटर की सीमा साझा करता है। मिजोरम भी 1972 तक असम का हिस्सा था। मिजोरम पूर्व में म्यांमार, उत्तर पश्चिम में त्रिपुरा, उत्तर में असम और उत्तर पूर्व में मणिपुर और पश्चिम में बांग्लादेश से घिरा हुआ है।
