The All India Services are the three all India Civil Services of India, namely the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS) & the Indian Forest Service (IFS). The officers of the All India Services are recruited and trained by the federal Union Government (“the Centre”) and serve in the various State Governments (“the States”) as well as Centre (which is why the Indian Revenue Service is a “central service” instead of an All India Service as they work only in the Central Government). / अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं भारत की तीन अखिल भारतीय सिविल सेवाएं हैं, अर्थात् भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (आईएएस), भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (आईपीएस) और भारतीय वन सेवा (आईएफएस)। अखिल भारतीय सेवाओं के अधिकारियों को संघीय केंद्र सरकार (“केंद्र”) द्वारा भर्ती और प्रशिक्षित किया जाता है और विभिन्न राज्य सरकारों (“राज्यों”) के साथ-साथ केंद्र (यही कारण है कि भारतीय राजस्व सेवा एक ” अखिल भारतीय सेवा के बजाय केंद्रीय सेवा” क्योंकि वे केवल केंद्र सरकार में काम करते हैं)।
