In a bid to enhance forest cover in the state, Odisha Government, in January 2014, decided to implement ‘Ama Jangle Yojana’ (AJY) in a big way. The AJY (my forest project) scheme focuses on forest restorations, promotion of sustainable management of forest by strengthening participatory forest management and improvement of livelihood of forest dependent communities/राज्य में वन क्षेत्र को बढ़ाने के लिए ओडिशा सरकार ने जनवरी 2014 में ‘अमा जंगल योजना’ (एजेवाई) को बड़े पैमाने पर लागू करने का फैसला किया। AJY (मेरी वन परियोजना) योजना वन पुनर्स्थापन, सहभागी वन प्रबंधन को मजबूत करके वन के सतत प्रबंधन को बढ़ावा देने और वन पर निर्भर समुदायों की आजीविका में सुधार पर केंद्रित है।
