Ossification is the process of laying down new bone material by cells called osteoblasts. It is synonymous with bone tissue formation. As per scientific evidence, by the age of 25 years nearly all bones are completely ossified in humans. Ossification test is a guess work based on the fusion of joints in the human body b/w birth and age 25. If all joints are fused the person must be of 25yrs of age or older.
ऑसिफिकेशन ऑस्टियोब्लास्ट नामक कोशिकाओं द्वारा नई हड्डी सामग्री को बिछाने की प्रक्रिया है। यह अस्थि ऊतक निर्माण का पर्याय है। वैज्ञानिक प्रमाणों के अनुसार, 25 वर्ष की आयु तक मनुष्यों में लगभग सभी हड्डियाँ पूरी तरह से अस्थि-पंजर हो जाती हैं। ऑसिफिकेशन टेस्ट एक अनुमान कार्य है जो मानव शरीर में जोड़ों के संलयन के आधार पर जन्म और 25 वर्ष की आयु में होता है। यदि सभी जोड़ों को आपस में जोड़ा जाता है तो व्यक्ति की आयु 25 वर्ष या उससे अधिक होनी चाहिए।
