Under Section 22 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, the Bank has the sole right to issue bank notes of all denominations. The distribution of one rupee notes and coins and small coins all over the country is undertaken by the Reserve Bank as agent of the Government. The one rupee note is issued by the Ministry of Finance and bears the signature of the secretary. The responsibility for coinage vests with Government of India on the basis of the Coinage Act, 1906 as amended from time to time. The designing and minting of coins in various denominations is also attended to by the Government of India. / भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक अधिनियम की धारा 22 के तहत, बैंक को सभी मूल्यवर्ग के बैंक नोट जारी करने का एकमात्र अधिकार है। पूरे देश में एक रुपये के नोटों और सिक्कों और छोटे सिक्कों का वितरण रिजर्व बैंक द्वारा सरकार के एजेंट के रूप में किया जाता है। एक रुपये का नोट वित्त मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी किया जाता है और सचिव के हस्ताक्षर होते हैं। सिक्का बनाने की जिम्मेदारी समय-समय पर संशोधित सिक्का अधिनियम, 1906 के आधार पर भारत सरकार की होती है। भारत सरकार द्वारा विभिन्न मूल्यवर्ग के सिक्कों की डिजाइनिंग और ढलाई में भी भाग लिया जाता है।
