Lord Curzon ordered the partition of Bengal in the year 1905. Official reason was given that Bengal with population of 78 million had become too big to be administered. It was decided to cancel the partition of Bengal in 1911 mainly to control the political unrest.
लॉर्ड कर्जन ने वर्ष 1905 में बंगाल के विभाजन का आदेश दिया था। आधिकारिक कारण यह दिया गया था कि 78 मिलियन की आबादी वाला बंगाल प्रशासित होने के लिए बहुत बड़ा हो गया था। मुख्य रूप से राजनीतिक अशांति को नियंत्रित करने के लिए 1911 में बंगाल के विभाजन को रद्द करने का निर्णय लिया गया था।
