Udayagiri and Khandagiri are the two hills located near Bhubaneshwar in Odisha. There are partially artificial caves in these hills which are of archaeological, historical and religious importance. In the ‘Hathigumpha inscription’, its description is found as ‘Kumari Parvat’. There are 18 caves in Udayagiri and 15 caves in Khandagiri.
उदयगिरि और खंडगिरि ओडिशा में भुवनेश्वर के पास स्थित दो पहाड़ियाँ हैं। इन पहाड़ियों में आंशिक रूप से कृत्रिम गुफाएँ हैं जो पुरातात्विक, ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक महत्व की हैं। ‘हाथीगुम्फा शिलालेख’ में इसका वर्णन ‘कुमारी पर्वत’ के रूप में मिलता है। उदयगिरि में 18 गुफाएँ और खंडगिरि में 15 गुफाएँ हैं।
