The Himadri or the Great Himalayas is the highest mountain range of the Himalayas situated between the Parhimalaya and the Central Himalayas. The world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, is a member of this range, and many of the world’s highest mountains are part of it, such as Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, and Nanga Parbat. The Himadri runs for 2400 km (1,500 mi) from west-to-east, and has an average elevation of 6000 m (20000 ft).
