On 9 December 1946, the Constituent Assembly sat for the first time. In the span of 2 years and 11 months, 18 days it completed its task of framing the Indian constitution. During this period the Constituent Assembly had 11 sessions and sat for a total of 166 days. On 26 November, the Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India which came into force on 26 January 1950.
9 दिसंबर 1946 को संविधान सभा पहली बार बैठी थी। 2 साल और 11 महीने, 18 दिनों की अवधि में इसने भारतीय संविधान को तैयार करने का अपना कार्य पूरा किया। इस अवधि के दौरान संविधान सभा के 11 सत्र हुए और कुल 166 दिनों तक बैठक हुई। 26 नवंबर को संविधान सभा ने भारत के संविधान को अपनाया जो 26 जनवरी 1950 को लागू हुआ।
