Chaukhandi, Dhamek, Rambhar Stupa sites are located in Uttar Pradesh. Whereas Bharhut Stupa site is located in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. It was discovered in 1873-74 by Alexander Cunningham, the father of Indian archaeology. Bharhut Stupa was situated at one end of the central province of Magadha Empire. Historians and archaeologists believe that the place where this stupa is situated was an important center of the major highway of that era.
चौखंडी, धमेक, रामभर स्तूप स्थल उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित हैं। जबकि भरहुत स्तूप स्थल मध्य प्रदेश के सतना जिले में स्थित है। इसकी खोज 1873-74 में भारतीय पुरातत्व के जनक अलेक्जेंडर कनिंघम ने की थी। भरहुत स्तूप मगध साम्राज्य के मध्य प्रांत के एक छोर पर स्थित था। इतिहासकारों और पुरातत्वविदों का मानना है कि जिस स्थान पर यह स्तूप स्थित है वह उस युग के प्रमुख राजमार्ग का एक महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र था।
