Chilka lake is located in Odisha. It is a brackish water lagoon, spread over the Puri, Khurda and Ganjam districts of Odisha on the east coast of India, at the mouth of the Daya River, flowing in to the Bay of Bengal, covering an area of over 1,100 sq.km. 

Chilika Lake, also known as Chilka Lake, is a semi-salt water lagoon located in Puri, Khordha and Ganjam districts of the state of Odisha, India. It receives water from many streams and flows east into the Bay of Bengal. Its area is more than 1,100 sq km and it is the largest coastal anup lake in India and the second largest semi saline lake in the world.

Chilka is the largest coastal lake of India which is located in Orissa, here is a salt water lagoon lake. The length of Chilka lake is 65KM width 9 to 20KM and depth is about 2m! It receives water from the Daya and Bhargavi rivers, where the Naval Training Center is located.
