Explanation / व्याख्या :-

Morphine is the predominant alkaloid found in the varieties of opium poppy plant. It is obtained in form of liquid from the fruit capsule of the poppy. The latex which oozes from the incisions is collected, and dried to produce “raw opium” (about 8-14% morphine by dry weight).

अफीम खसखस के पौधे की किस्मों में पाया जाने वाला प्रमुख अल्कलॉइड मॉर्फिन है। यह खसखस के फल कैप्सूल से तरल के रूप में प्राप्त होता है। लेटेक्स जो चीरों से निकलता है, एकत्र किया जाता है, और “कच्ची अफीम” (सूखे वजन से लगभग 8-14% मॉर्फिन) का उत्पादन करने के लिए सूख जाता है।
