Red Blood Cells develop in the bone marrow and circulate for about 100–120 days in the body before their components are recycled by macrophages. Each circulation takes about 20 seconds. Approximately a quarter of the cells in the human body are red blood cells. They are the most common type of blood cell and the vertebrate organism’s principal means of delivering oxygen (O2) to the body tissues via the blood flow through the circulatory system. /लाल रक्त कोशिकाएं अस्थि मज्जा में विकसित होती हैं और शरीर में लगभग 100-120 दिनों तक चलती हैं, इससे पहले कि उनके घटकों को मैक्रोफेज द्वारा पुनर्नवीनीकरण किया जाता है। प्रत्येक परिसंचरण में लगभग 20 सेकंड लगते हैं। मानव शरीर में लगभग एक चौथाई कोशिकाएं लाल रक्त कोशिकाएं होती हैं। वे रक्त कोशिका का सबसे सामान्य प्रकार हैं और कशेरुकी जीव के संचार प्रणाली के माध्यम से रक्त प्रवाह के माध्यम से शरीर के ऊतकों को ऑक्सीजन (O2) पहुंचाने का प्रमुख साधन है।
